I have been working in the field of mental health since 1997 when I started working for a community mental health center in Hays, KS. I continued to work for the same mental health center until moving to Franklin, NE in 2009 when I took a job with Kearney Public Schools as a School Social Worker. I began Center Creek Counseling in January 2011. During the course of my career I have gained experience working with all age groups on a variety of issues including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD and other behavior disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, enhancing parent child relationships, marriage and family therapy and assistance with issues of adjustment to changes in life. I became certified with the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) in 2013 and provide Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) to incorporate horses experientially for emotional growth and learning. This is a great alternative for those who haven’t had success with traditional “talk therapy.”
